Subject: Gnarls Barkley - Crazy
Written By: whistledog on 05/14/06 at 9:53 pm
Any opinions on Crazy by Gnarls Barkley?
It hit #1 in the UK in April of 2006 and was the first single to ever top the UK Singles Chart based on downloads alone
I just saw the video for it today, and it's somewhat catchy. It's already becoming a big hit here in Canada where it's currently at #53 in the charts (which is great, since last week it was at #97)

Never heard of them before in my life, and I doubt anyone else from America has either

I thought this was a typo on "Charles" Barkley.

I actually like it. It's like trip-hop. It's something different and it sounds good.

LOL seeing this thread again, I'd almost forgotten about 5.19.86. That dude was psycho lol
'Crazy' took ALONG time to fall out of the Canadian chart. If I remember, it was in the chart for close to a year

I couldn't find full chart run for Canada, but check this out ...
'Crazy' was in the Canadian Top 40 consecutively between May 18 (2006) and March 22 (2007)

I took notice. It was the bassline, then the rest followed. Wow! What a great song!
It may have emerged from '90s and '00s DJ culture, but it's every bit as soulful as the soul classics of the '60s and '70s.

When I was out on Wednesday, Crazy was played of the speakers of the restaurant I was in. I wanted to get up and leave.
