Subject: Blaine's underwater stunt begins
Written By: Philip Eno on 05/02/06 at 2:58 pm
Illusionist David Blaine has begun his latest stunt - spending seven days underwater in his "human aquarium" challenge in New York.
The 33-year-old lowered himself into a 2.5m (8ft) acrylic sphere filled with water at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

No, That's when he Drowns himself under the Water and tries to hold his breath for 9 minutes. I suppose he comes out right after that though

Not Really, if there was a chance at all that he would Die or get Injured from this stunt, they would not air it on National Television. It's all just some Trickery Stunt like his Ice Box thingy

I'm a fan of David Blaines - some say he's a charlatan, but whatever the truth, he is still a brilliant showman. Good luck to him, I thoroughly enjoyed his stunt in that little park just off The Avenues of the Americas in NYC when he stood on top of that column. Some Brits showed themselves to be ignorant cretins last year, while as he slept in the perspex box they threw sausages and other missiles at him to keep him awake. ::) Jerks ::)

David Blaine is an attention whore. He'd chop off his own member and throw it to a pack of ravenous wolves if he thought the press would be around.

It's hyperbole. You didn't really think I was serious, now did you?

It's questionable the things Blaine does. Like how does he levitate .. how did he stand still on that pole for so long? Or those street magic tricks me does ..
he did this one trick where the woman picked a card, then put it back in the deck. Then he threw the cards at a glass window, and the woman's card was stuck on the other side of the glass :o

If Blaine wants to break the record for remaining under water, he's got a lot of catching up to do! Those poor bastids on the Titanic already have a 93-year-head start!

As I said previously, IMO he's a great Showman - the clues in the word show man! ;D
He is a great "show"man yes. The only thing I figure is that his magic is done with camera tricks, and the people who are amazed by the tricks are hired actors paid to look shocked ;D
