Baby's name is Suri.
And if you were Tom Cruise's kid, you be "Suri" too!
:D
I don't think Scientologists have a beef with medications in general,* just psychiatric medications. They're a threat to the Scientology biz. I mean, if you take enough Risperdal or Seroquel, you might not be able to believe the monkey-men from Jupiter invaded Earth 70 billion years ago and planted negative-emotion trees, or whatever L.Ron was on about!
*not to be confused with the "Christian Scientists," the biggest oxymoron on the block!

Another piece of irony.....Brooke Shields had her baby (Grier) at the same hospital, same day, same floor :o
Really? I hadn't heard/read that. I hope Brooke yelled/screamed so loud that TomKat heard her in their room! LOL!!

i find it officially WEIRD, the brooke-and-katie coincidence. someone needs to come up with a conspiracy theory about it.
i wonder if they've got anything about it over at conspiracyplanet.com.

here's the latest
http://www.defamer.com/hollywood/tom-cruise/index.php
"According to a press release, "both mother and daughter are doing well." We assume they're referring to Katie Holmes, not the actual biological parent who's tending the child while Holmes tries to chew through her wrist restraints and escape during the bedlam following the birth announcement. "
the theory is apparently that cruise is actually keeping an array of "bio-vessels" to generate an army of bio-engineered ubermench scientologists bent on world conquest and poor katie is being forced to pretend to have a baby in order to deflect suspicion.
it's the only rational explanation. still doesnt account for the bizarre brooke coincidence, though.

Not an appropriate name for a baby. Perhaps an appropriate name for a genetically engineered cyborg scientological uberbaby.
Hey I bet it's an acronym! S.U.R.I.: Scientologistically Uber-Redesigned Infant.

What ever happened to giving kids normal names? I'm tired of the "unique name" thing. However, it beats the 1980s trends of misspelling names.

it's not an irony. it's conclusive evidence of a bizarre conspiracy so shocking, so all-consuming and sinister, it will shock and horrify you.
i mean, come on, that is beyond weird, man. i have no idea what to make of it, but what are the odds??

Suri is gonna be the newest brainwashing victim of Scientology...."Yes, we, the Scientologists, are trying to create a race of superScientologists to 'cure' the world of the evil psychiatrist who brainwashes the mentally ill into gulping down as much Seroquel and Prozac that they can prescribe, when all they need is a little fresh air and exercise"....I've never known someone with a mental illness who's been 'cured' by Scientology!
The only way I can stay well is by taking my meds and going to therapy. Scientology is bogus.

I read somewhere that Katie wasn't allowed to make any noises during childbirth even if actually in severe pain - to comply with rules of the crazy wacky world of scientology >:(
I feel sorry for that girl.

Actually, she could make noises if she was in pain, it was everyone around her that couldn't scream and yell. And besides she had an epidural, so her pain if any, was probably very little.

The pain of childbirth isn't so bad that you need to scream and yell. Yeah it hurts, but what good does screaming do you? It surely doesn't make the pain go away.
Nevertheless, Scientology is wacky.

It made me feel better.....then again, I was screaming AT the stupid nurse who was INSISTING that there was nothing wrong with my epidural when only 1/2 of me was numb (turns out the catheter had come out so all of the "stuff" had settled in the side of my body I was laying on) and wouldn't let me roll over on my back to alleviate the back pain (since my son decided to come out face up instead of face down) :o Needless to say, when I called her a "stupid B!tch", she left and never came back and I stopped screaming ;D
