Apparently a movie based on the TV series "Welcome Back, Kotter" (1975-1979) is in production. Rapper/actor Ice Cube has won the role as Gabe Kotter, and even has the approval of Gabe Kaplan himself

I would think that Adam Sandler and Steve Martin would be in this cheesy remake too. :-\\
