The fashion.  I actually find myself laughing at some of the crappy clothes in this decade.  Sometimes it just seems like they're trying too hard.  Rap videos are also getting pretty cheesy, but that is such a stereotypical answer.

I would have to say commercials

-Blogging (just read some of these things, they're priceless)
-Reality TV.
-Emo styling and verbiage.

The emo, rap, and some mainstream fashion is utterly horrendous. However, while I like alot of this decade's classier female stylings, I want to throw paint on them sometimes and get people to just wear dirty old jeans and a T-shirt.

MTV this decade really exemplifies everything both cheesy and wrong about this decade.

Baggy pants and sports jerseys are a bit more late '90s, but whatever. I'd say those unusual caps and everything being covered in corduroy is pretty damn cheesy. And those sweaters with zippers and cardigan patterns. And manorexia.

I only think that this decade has been pretty good fashion wise beacuse all other era's have been incorporated into one. I think that everyone can dress in an original and interesting what beacuse there are so many different types of clothes out there. You can buy vintage easily, go to chairty shops, but new items from ultra hip places like Topshop and staple items from places like H&M.

The only thing I hate is people being lable conscious - who cares whether the jeans your wearing are

- Men wearing pink.
- Men wearing tight clothing.
- Dance music.
- Label conciousness. Why pay $200 for a $20 pair of jeans with 'Addidas' written across them. Also faded jeans... why pay $200 for a pair of pre-faded or pre-ripped jeans when you could buy a naturally-faded pair for $10 at a 2nd hand store.
- The sudden slamming of junk food, appraisal of all-vegetarian diets etc. when moderation is the key. Not substitution.


Anyway - cheesy 00s things:

Definitly the obsession with celeb couples - who really cares.

The fixation with slamming ultra skinny celebs - and praising bigger girls - which was completly the opposite 10 years ago. I think it's good that some magazines are trying to promote a healthier body - but they are going overboard.

The x-factor is so cheesy - I just can't help watching it though :S (btw - Simon Cowell is on this for those from the US)

Skinny jeans on boys - on girls its fine :]

Dance covers of 80s classics - mostly terrible!

Rap PERIOD has become cheesy. not t the death of hip hop though.
Mtv 2 has now become the new mtv. with all those  reality shows

- Video games and violence. Not sure what happened to the Rubik's Cube but oh well lol. (I've never been good at them).
The closest I did on the Cube was when I peeled the stickers off and replaced them so that one face had one colour, done!

- The control that the media has on a 14 year old kid is incredible.
I'm sure if the media said the sky was going to fall, we'd have people running for cover.

- Labels and categorization of people e.g. "Emo" or "Prep", people don't deserve to hide behind labels.
I say be yourself. If you want to wear that or do that then do it. I hope one day it will be cool to be yourself, hahah.

There are millions of people in the world, you can't satisfy all of them so satisfy yourself.

And yeah, American Idol is pretty bleh-bleh.  ;)
