I've heard that the Gregorian Calendar is actually off, because Christ was born between 6 and 4 B.C. or something.
So I guess this is technically 2010, 2011, or 2012, but then again the calendar is only based on Christ's birth in theory (hell, we don't even know that there was a Christ) so it doesn't really matter.
Is the world gonna end this year then, if it's 2012? :o

I thought the world was supposed to end 2000 years after Christ's birth...which would have been 1996.
Creepily enough though, an Aztec calendar also predicts the world will end in 2012...

The Mayans may've predicted the world ending in 2012, but the Mayans themselves (mysteriously) ended, something they never predicted, no doubt.

I don't necessarily think it will, but something will probably happen. Then again, I'm rather interested in the paranormal, so I'm probably a little biased ;)

Hmm.. I dunno.. we've changed our calendar and way of measuring time so much since the dawn of time, lord only knows what time it really is.

It could be the 1970s or 2020s, as far as we know. But the calendar is what it is, you know? No way in our pseudo-futuristic society could it be changed.
