I think that making a movie about Batgirl and how she came to be what she was would be a great concept for a movie. The only thing I have not figured out is who should play Batgirl...maybe Mandy Moore would be good, or Natalie Portman or Emily Vancamp from "Everwood" or even Sarah Drew who plays Emily Vancamp's best friend on "Everwood." If you want to give your suggestions, please feel free...I'm totally up for suggestions.

The story could be something like Superman Returns, all about Batgirl's life growing up and maybe meeting up with Batman and Robin and fighting the bad guys with them or something like that. For those of you who don't know who Sarah Drew is I have included a picture of her. Tell me what you think of this idea...I love getting feedback.

They could do a spoof version called "Old Bat Girl" and get Bea Arthur in the lead role ;D

Seriously though, a good Bat Girl would be Kate Bosworth, but since she's slated to play Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, they probably wouldn't use her

Batgirl is one of the more uninteresting, campy characters of the Batman universe.  She is a much less annoying character since The Joker put her in a wheelchair and she became "Oracle".  Now she helps Batman from back home at the cave, via a radio link.  She uses GPS and stuff to help him out in the field.

I'm not much for the "Bat family" period.  In current continuity in the comics, things are way too crowded.  You have Barbara Gordon/"Oracle", you have Tim Drake(Robin), you have Dick Grayson(Nightwing), the Huntress, and until recently you had Cassandra Cain as Batgirl, but she was killed off.

I'd like to see Nightwing/Grayson leave Gotham again and go back to Bludhaven, and I'd send Drake off to college.  I'd keep Oracle/Barbara around but maybe use her a little more sparingly, and the Huntress I'd use from time to time.

Anyway(I got sidetracked here), I DEFINITELY don't want all of these characters making it into the movies.  Not even Robin.  They don't fit in with the movie world, and frankly they aren't that interesting.  Did you know the creation of Robin as a character was mandated by DC Comics at the time so that the readers would have a character their age they could identify with and so Batman would be "lightened up" as a character?  Batman was created as a dark character, that's just the way he is.  Batman is best when he flies solo. 

Plus the only way Batgirl would make any sense would be in the context of Batman's world, so there's no way you could make a movie about her without interfering with the continuity they've established in Batman Begins.  They did such a good job with that movie staying true to the spirit of the character and creating a heartfelt, smart story that it would be a shame IMO for them to start crapping-I mean camping it up now.

If the movie is anything like Supergirl, then sorry not interested.  ;D
