What is up with this need to categorize everything?
Well, what else is there to talk about on decade boards?
I don't mean to sound harsh, but since you're frank with me I might as well be frank with you: why does it bother you so much? There's no reason you should have to reply to my threads.

I only asked. No need to be snippy.
Really, I ask because I rarely try to place something into a certain category. I mean, when I'm considering genres, I can do something general like R&B or rap or classical or what-have-you, but when it comes to subgenres, I start getting a tad lost and wonder if there isn't really a bit of fluidity amongst many of the songs placed there.
That is why I ask. It is not a personal attack, but rather because my perspective on categorization differs, and I thought I'd get another side.
If you prefer, I can delete this and the previous post.
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound snappy. I just wanted to know why you've been so hard on me about this stuff.
It's all cool :)

Just like P-Funk, modern rap should be called C-Rap.

My 17 year old niece was telling me that it is losing popularity among "upper-classmen" and it's being frowned on if juniors and seniors are still listening to rap. This could be a good sign. :)

Yeah i've been out of school for a year now and I never liked it. But some of my classmates did.

I think glam rap is about to go over the hill, starting seriously next winter. But I like glam rap or "C-Rap".

Ooooh! You beat me to the joke!

I was gonna say "Contemporary Rap," or "C-Rap" for short!
