Ok...so I know there have to be some of you out there that are great fans of the show, "The L Word".....let's talk about it.

Tonight's episode made me totally cry...I really like Dana..and I hope they don't kill her character off...that would totally suck!


Who do you guys like the best on this show? My favorite is Shane, of course....even though she is a total player.

I've never seen an episode, but I have an aunt who is a lesbian and she loves the show. I used to live with her, and whenever my cousin and I went to Blockbuster, she would ask us to pick up one of the DVD's.

it's really a great, thought-provoking show...for gay and straight people. I have grown to love the cast on the show...they are all so interesting.

I do NOT want her to die! I have read different spoilers and they totally contradict each other....one says that she dies, and others say that she lives. ???

yes, I have heard that Erin Daniels (Dana) has some movies she is going to be working on...however, the show just won't seem the same w/o her. :-\\

well Mike, I am sure guys would totally get into it, as it is a show about a group of lesbians! ;)  No, but aside from that....it's a really good, interesting show...good topics, great cast....I have really enjoyed the past 3 seasons and am looking forward to a new season next year too!

Isn't british actor Alan Cumming now on this show?

ok...is anyone else annoyed by this Moira/Max character?  Ever since she started taking those hormone pills...she's been a real arse toward Jenny...I really don't like her character that much. ::)

I think Jenny is WAY too good for her/him.  Did you see this past episode...where Dana lets Shane shave her hair off....I thought it was really cute how Shane and Alice did their hair all goofy to make her feel a little better about revealing her new look.  I really don't want her to die...but I have heard many rumors that she is going to. :\'(

I've watched a few eps (maybe about 10) from the first season, and found it somewhat unrealistic. As one TV critic said, all the actresses looked like models, and all they discussed was 'lifestyle, hair.etc' in other words the same things as any normal show. It's a bit light on the XXX...which, I must say, kind of lost me.

well first off...it's not meant to be a show that is aiming toward straight men, in the light of soft-core porn. The writers/producers of the show are lesbians themselves, and not the "perfect looking model type" either. If you have only watched season 1, you have missed a lot since then.  The show has really grown, dealing with topics like breast cancer, death, transgender individuals, lesbian couples having children, and many more "hot topics".  The show was never meant to be a "turn-on" for men....it's about a group of lesbian women, and the trials and tribulations in their lives. If you are looking for a show to get all "hot and bothered over", as a straight male...then you are looking in the wrong direction. Yes, there are some steamy scenes....but I think it is done in a very classy way....to show how real lesbian couples are...not in a cheesy, porn movie kinda way. ::)

Have u seen Queer as Folk? I've only seen it a few times. How does the L World compare with Queer as Folk (The American version)? More/less realistic? Don't want to pry, but do you yourself have a great insight into the lesbian world? Anyway, I think Queer as Folk's a bit more explicit...(though the original was rated R). But anyway, I think most of the people who watch both shows are straight...I guess we all are curious about worlds which are 'hidden' or different from our own. That's the attraction of shows like the L Word.

Yes, Queer as Folk was another one of my favorite shows....and yes, it did seem to be more explicit than The L Word is.  I don't know...I mean, both shows have times where they seem very realistic and sometimes they seem over the top.  I mean, Queer as Folk had a tendency to make gay men seem somewhat "whorish" in nature...and that just isn't always true.  And, I mean...of course there are some that do nothing but go clubbing, have sex, go clubbing, have sex...etc...but the majority lives normal lives, just like everybody else.  Both shows tend to frequent "beautiful people" too...but that's typical.  I think that personally, I like The L Word a little better....because it has to do with a lot of women issues, not just gay issues.  You can almost pull a character and really relate to their lives/situations, etc.  I am not a gay woman, but I have had gay friends...so if you can call that "insight"...I guess that's where I get it from.
