Subject: Sudoku

I was reading about this, and I believe the game was invented late in 2004 and it got really popular in 2005. It seems that Sudoku has replaced the crossword in the puzzle clique.

How many people think this trend will last, and who thinks it's just a phase in pop culture that will fade away? I think the game will stay around, like conventional puzzles have stayed over the years, but I don't think it will be this popular for too long.
