Another "we know the face but not the name" person, Michael Vale, known as "Fred the Baker" who always said, "Time to make the donuts" in the Dunkin' Donuts commercal, passed away.

Same here. Though "Time to make the donuts" was at its popular zenith in my adolescence. I thought Michael Vale died several years ago. Apparently, he was a super nice guy and he never got sick of people coming to him and saying, "Time to make the donuts."
Dunkin' Donuts needs to take a cue from their former pitchman. Whenever I go into a DD around here, the selection is pretty lame, although that's probably better for my gut!

I didnt know he passed away!! So sad, that was like one of my fav commercials growing up.. I was just talking to my boyfriend about that guy.. Weird.. guess Im a day late or a few on the news.... Well at any rate: May he R.I.P
