It's incredible - sorta like every cool alternative art rock album in your record collection fused together. It's got elements of Brian Eno, Talking Heads, funk, punk, eletronica - it's all there, I swear.

Haven't bought/listened to many full albums this year, I did like Funeral by Arcade Fire (although a late 2004 release, I first discovered it late January)

No offense to anyone here, but I have very little interest in todays music, so I don't follow. I listen to stuff from the 60s, 70s and 80s, some early 90s, call me old fashioned. I didn't know Stevie Wonder had a new album though, I always enjoyed HIS music.

I thought this year was pretty good for music, however, last year I bought more albums from the likes of Keane, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Scissor Sisters etc...

Of the albums that I actually bought in 2005, I'd have to go with 'Pieces of A Dream - The Best of Anastacia'

Well, I've only heard the single off of it "O Sailor", but I have to say judging from that it must be a damn good album.

The Emancipation of Mimi - Mariah Carey

What a fantastic album.  I bought Charmbracelet, and thought it was good but I knew she could do better and she did.  Yeah she's had some problems over the years and I'm not going to make excuses for her, but this album really was a comeback and while I like U2, I was disappointed that she lost Album of the Year.
