It came and went, but does anyone KNOW what it was even about? Other than it took place somehwere in Iowa of course.

I hadn't even heard about this show. It must have came and went quite quickly.

It was a fake reality show -ala "The Joe Shmo show". Basically they coned a small town in Iowa that William Shatner was making a low budget horror film and hired the entire town. The joke was supposed to be about making the community's citizens do crazy things.
