Yeah, jeez, I'm all broken up about it....what was that they're getting rid of again? Vanilla Coke? They were selling Vanilla Coke? And they're phasing it out when? By the end of this year. Jeez, I'm all broken up about it....

Good riddance! Can't say I'll be too bothered with it's departure. It just means I won't have to see the bottle on the store shelves again.

I remember getting a 12 Pack of Vanilla Coke's right when they first came out around June 2002. I remember I had rented "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings" from Blockbuster and I was just sitting there sipping on my Vanilla Coke

I actually liked it, but at the same time, I don't think its departure is the end of the world or anything, LOL.
It only tasted slightly different than regular Coke - I probably couldn't tell if I was blindfolded though. ;)
I wonder if this will be like "New" Coke back in 1985. If enough people protest and take it to court, maybe it'll come back. And it'll all someday be covered in a nostalgia show in the 2020's. ;D

the mere idea of vanilla coke was so revolting to me i never got it. was it any good?
i sorta liked new coke. is there a place you can get it? ironically, it's now the old coke, and the old coke is the new/current coke. :o

In the olden days you could just go into a drugstore and if you wanted a vanilla coke, the soda jerk would put a shot o' vanilla in there for you, or cherry syrup, or lemon, or creme de menthe, or grenadine or what have you.
As for me, I just like a Coca-Cola Classic from a glass bottle. Hits the spot!

Squirt never left....in fact, I have some in my garage (where we keep the soda).
I thought "Squirt" was a soda, unless you're squirting something else in the garage...
Anyway, has anybody seen this brand of root beer? I sure haven't!
