This new re-make is going to be super. With the technology out there, this movie will be a special effects marvel :)
Plus, Naomi Watts is in it. She's sexy :o

Not interested. What's the difference between "no" and "not interested" anyway? I've seen the 1933 original, and the 1976 remake, and I'm just not much of a King Kong fan.
Shouldn't King Kong be a female this time--Queen Kong, and have the male anthropologist in love with her? Or maybe King Kong should be gay this time, and be hot for the male anthropologist all the same.
I mean, if it's the same old same old...who cares?

dag, i'm watching it right now, and this is a film of almost perfect ridiculousness. good recommendation mayng!
linda hamilton rocks as always though. i love her. and my favorite line so far:
"are those firearms loaded?"
"yes, sir, and so are we!"
good times, good times. that might be a good new slogan for the NRA.

I have a joke that I use on a regular basis these days: If anyone asks my opinion on any new movie that's out, my reply is always 'rent the original'. Seriously. I can't even stand to go to the movies anymore because of all the freakin' REMAKES!!! Classic Hollywood is sacred, and I hate the way filmakers nowadays bastardize all those wonderful old movies and totally destroy them!

The other night they were showing the 1976 version with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange. That one's a hoot!
