Do you think life in genral is fair?

There is no such thing as fair. There's just what is, and what you want. The distance between the two is what your life is supposed to be about.

I believe life is supposed to be fair and in balance, however it seems at least imo, that the sad times and disasters are more memorable than the happy and good times.

I also agree, it's a good point.  If you can somehow keep the faith even when times are hard, believing things will get better, then the issue ot fairness becomes a non-issue.  Like what happened to Job (mind you I'm not much of a bible person) but I believe the example of Job was that he kept his faith even in the face of complete personal tragedy, and things finally turned around.

Damn near every single one of them. It's hard to find someone who didn't have an amount of adversity in their life who became successful men and women of the 20th century.  Infact the larger amount of empathetic pathos the more infulential and signifigant they were.

It's cool, I mean, the Christian man may feel life isn't fair because people are against his beliefs or some smut like that... I think we all feel this unjustified feeling that we're alone in our thinking and that in itself is unfair.

If you really feel that way, it's too bad, however it's okay.  Some of us have had some unfortunate happenings in our lives.  When times were tough, I always told myself to keep my chin up and get over it, but it seemed a difficult task at the time.  Anyway, I'm still in the game and I plan to be a hitter next time I step up to the plate!

I'm with Tanya on this.  Life is fair, but there are people who are in a position to make it unfair, that
is not fair.

If Reincarnation already is real, what makes you think this is your 1st try? Only asking cause it seems your pretty confident in getting that clean slate and being about to make the most of it.  As long as mankind has been around, this should be about your 6th or 7th try.  What makes you so sure things are gonna treat you better on the 8th try?  Or that You'll do better on the 8th try?

It doesn't matter, since you get to reincarnate over and over again.

It's not the idea that you start off with a clean slate.  It's the fact that you're developing your soul in each separate life so you can become one with Him.  One life shapes your humanity, another life develops your patience, etc.  If you screw up doing it, you get a chance to begin again by learning from your mistakes (Karma).

'if you look way down in your heart and soul', sometimes I think life is very fair....the ole Karma thing, what goes around comes around, when people ask "why me", I say I can think of a thousand reasons why, me and they tend to agree, 'well, there was that time that I .....' as you did unto others it's being done unto you, yet I know a lot of unfair things that have happened to me in my life, that I'd never, ever do to another.
Was life the director for those people who for some odd reason chose not to go to work that day...9-11-2001...or was it just dumb luck?
