Subject: Nice Baby Names
Written By: ultraviolet52 on 10/06/05 at 1:59 am
How about baby names that we admire or would like to use in the future (if that were to occur?)
I have liked these combinations for some time :
Girls:
Vivien Adele
Olivia Carole
Catherine Annette
Boys:
Thomas Norton
or
Thomas Harlan-Scott

Babies aren't nice. People just pretend they are so we don't go extinct.

Here are some of my ideas..
Girl:
Corin Michelle
I like Corin because its nice and simple, but it isn't really common either. I like Michelle because its the female version of Michael, which is the name of the person I am closest to in the entire world.
Boys:
Vincent Garcia
Michael Ian
I like the name Vicent because it just sounds cool, and with Garcia, well I figured if you have all these yuppies who turn last names into first or middle names why not do it with a Spanish surname? Michael is as I said the name of someone close to me, and I think Ian just goes very well with it.

If you gave them a cigar they would all look exactly like Winston Churchill.

I've always thought Siobhan was the coolest name for a woman. Christina and Alexandra are favorites, too.
For a guy, you can't go wrong with Richard or William. Even though they're fairly common as formal names, in reality, so many people actually use Rich, Rick, Ricky, Bill and Billy that the formal versions aren't actually used that often. They're just good, solid, salt-of-the-earth names.
I definitely agree. :)

I'd probably go with the more feminine spelling of Corin as Corinne. It looks more femenine. Corin looks too similar to "Colin" to me.

Yeah, using surnames as a middle name is neat. I think it helps pass down the mother's maiden name without losing the father's surname.

My husband's daughter's name is Natasha (which I love as a name).

Kinda reminds me of the awesome British sit-com "Keeping up appearances" where the four daughters were named:
Hyacinth
Rose
Daisy
and Violet
Those are awesome names. I kinda like the ones named after gemstones:
Ruby
Jade
Em(erald)
Amythst

My husband's grandmother and her sisters all had biblical names. His Nan was called Bathsheba, there was aunty Tabitha and I can't remember the other 5 names.
