Sky High is the latest in a string of recent movies ("Napoleon Dynamite", "13 going on 30") that gives the impression that it was filmed in the 80's. Are wee seeing the beginning of 80's nostalgia????

No, I don't see it that way (given that I've never seen the film; however, a portion of it was filmed at Cal State University Northridge, where I currently go to school).

Interesting, since this '70s nostalgia thing has been going on since about 1994...am I right?
Maybe that 2004, song from Bowling For Soup got things started for the '80s.

There was '80s nostalgia in 1994. I think the Yuppies saw ahead to their own nostalgia. That's why everybody started drinking Heinecken and driving Saabs. That's why you were the Coffee Generation! They knew they'd get to look back and say "Weren't we cool!"

I saw the movie, but didn't really get the 80s vibe from it ???
the soundtrack, the clothes, and hairstyles???
