I really hate when people wear their pants half way down their backside. It's disgusts me, I just can't stand it. What makes it worse is that these people have belts, but instead of pulling their pants up above their waist and tightening the belt so their pants don't fall down (which was how pants were originally supposed to be worn), they pull their pants down below their backsides and tighten up their belt around their behind so their pants wont fall down any further. It's ridculous. Not only does it look bad, but I just couldn't begin to imagine how uncomfortable it must be to wear your pants down below your backside all day. That is the trend I hope goes out of fashion quick smart.

Jailbait chavs (AKA teenage tearaways) in the UK see adults trying to be "ghetto" & copy the dress & actions- the dress ain't a problem, but when teenagers think drugs, robbing people & vandalism is cool, that is. When rap was political, having an "attitude" meant having a social or political conscience, not behaving as anti-socially as possible.

Also, girls with tattoos at the bottom of theirs backs. In my area, it's a very common thing, and it even seems like a bit of a rite of passage to have this done as young as possible, the more years before legal age, the better. It may be to do with the low cut of jeans most people wear, i.e. they feel the need to fill the gap between a belly-top & halfway-down-butt "asssters" (like hipsters, but hang off yo ass rather than yo hips), but sometimes it's not possible to spot a girl in a group without such an adornment. Won't look so good with stretchmarks, kiddies!!

THe biggest problem with the whole abstain from sex Bullcrap is that you get these morons telling kids not to have sex, but then don't educate them at all about it. It's a complete cop out, easy way out.

So many that Abstain for so long, eventually do it, and have no idea about protection and can easily end up Pregnant (or be a father) and have lots of lovely diseases.

Trends I would like to get rid of:

-The obsession over "pimping out" your car. I don't need a Playstation and HDTV in my trunk, and I hate seeing people driving around in '89 Honda and Chevy sedans with large shiny rims on them, but the body itself is rusted.

-Guido culture. In my school most guidos tend to wear Armani Exchange, so we call them "A|X kids". I hate Nextel walkie-talkies and I hate tight black muscle shirts.

-"Support our Troops" ribbons. What better way to say "Bush/Cheney '04" without actually telling people, then to put a magnetic yellow ribbon on your car. Personally, I liked the flags on radio antennas trend that took place after 9/11 a lot better...at least until people would leave those tattered flags up two years after the attacks.

-Von Dutch hats, and trucker hats in general. The real Von Dutch was a talented artist who would never have sold out his name.

-Laci/Jacko/OJ/Condit tabloid stories. I thought that the media learned their lesson after 9/11 that more political and world affairs coverage should be included, but they failed to listen. Instead we are treated to one celebrity trial after another, and one dissappearing white suburbanite after another.

-McMansions: Companies like Toll Brothers have been propping up their ugly prefab houses that have some ugly combinations of Georgian/Colonial/Renaissance architecture. Fake front-porches and cathedral ceilings at the front doorway are annoying. At least with real mansions there is a sense of oringinallity, and even with the post-war tract houses of the '50s and '60s there was a sense of modesty in them that gave them integrity. In todays newer suburbs (and older ones if you include teardowns) we have none of that.

Hummers and gargantuan SUVS: I don't hate every SUV out there (Jeep, for example, and the GMC Denali and Cadilac Escalade are pretty cool) but I hate seeing these God-awaful monsters on the road when people don't even need them! THe HUmmer h2 is not only huge, but it's ugly, and was never supposed to be for civilians anyway.

Trends I LIKE:

-Ipods and Ipod culture. If it wasn't for the Ipod, I'd stilling be burning all of my mp3s onto blank CDs. Before the Ipod most mp3 player were clunky and could only play up to a gigabyte of music.

-Blogs and their political activism. Regardless of your political leanings the blogs have given anyone with an opinion or a passion for activism a chance to exercise their consitutional rights of free speech. You no longer have to rely on the mainstream media for news.

-Low-rise jeans and girls getting tattoos on their lower backs. I know some people find them unattractive, but if you're young, I think that we should wear them if you want. I don't want girls to start wearing the higher-waist jeans of the '70's or '80s again, because those were ugly.

-Hybrid cars. I'm glad that we're finally breaking away from regular gas-guzzlers, and are starting to wean ourselves off of oil.

-Narrower glasses without frames. Glasses from the '80s and early '90s were too large and out of proportion, so I'm glad that they come down in size since then. I think that the non-frame glass look cool too, but that's just my preference.

About 3 weeks ago i was out in my friends car. He just got a new one and it's pretty nice.

Actually i think it should be up to the Government. Parents live in a sheltered world in which there children are perfectly safe, as long as they do EXACTLY! what they're told.. this isn't quite true.. lol.

The problem with abstinence education is it relies on "self-restraint," which is not a bad thing.  We Americans could do with more self-restraint, especially me!  The problem is, "abstinence only" provides only shame and ignorance should your primal urges override your restraint!

I couldn't agree more. Look @ it this way. If more of my peers (13+ & I'm 17 next July), abstained from sex & had the correct information, they'd be sparing themselves of heartbreak, emotional confusion that winds up damagaing them, disease, & the obvious: pregnancy. Honestly, I think that hormones & the "mystery of sex" triggers them to "do it", I could be wrong though, but I do believe that this is one definite reason reason why. Throughout my entire high school career (I'm a senior now) I have seen about 10 pregnant girls roaming the halls, w/ most of them dropping out, (I actually knew 2 of them who had their babies & came back to graduate, they were seniors)

I can understand the peer pressure because there is A LOT of it but it also depends on the people you "hang with" in school. If you look @ high schools & the girls who are pregnant, you can tell the environments from which they come. That too plays a big part. My friends & I aren't religious, more "spiritual", but we have our goals & many of us come from very involved families. I understand that all of us may not keep our pledges but I plan to, just because I want to truly love the one I'm with & savor my experience. So in words: I can wait yet I can't wait.

These are the people who put on a spoiler that is 12 times too big for their car.  These are the people who believe it is important to have expensive rims and a loud subwoofer in their car, because that's what attracts girls.  Its a style based purely on the desire to get girls, but here's the problem, its based on falsehoods and fantasy.  These "Guidos" are tools to whatever their cultural heroes tell them to do.  They repress anything that might make them different from one another and refuse to think on their own.  A whole facade of fakeness.  I hate it.

The guido culture is a style that has overtaken many people, causing them all to act, look, and be the same.  It's a conforming force and takes away all individualism in a person and replaces it with whatever 50 Cent or Paul Oakenfold says is cool. 

These are the people who put on a spoiler that is 12 times too big for their car.  These are the people who believe it is important to have expensive rims and a loud subwoofer in their car, because that's what attracts girls.  Its a style based purely on the desire to get girls, but here's the problem, its based on falsehoods and fantasy.  These "Guidos" are tools to whatever their cultural heroes tell them to do.  They repress anything that might make them different from one another and refuse to think on their own.  A whole facade of fakeness.  I hate it. 

Plus they use the term "Bro" a lot. 




We have them here as well.. except they are worse. They wear Polyester Shell Suits (No i am telling the truth) tuck there shell suit pants in to there socks, kit out what you guys would call 'compact' cars and wear several tons of fake gold. We call them Chavs  ;D

I live in Houston,Texas and all I see is a sea of Pickup Trucks and big SUV's, and it sucks when you're in a car and can't see over on one of those gas guzzler's. No offense to all the Pickup and SUV owner's, but SUV's are nothing more than fancy-looking minivan's and show only be driven by parents with 20 kids who can't fit them all in a car and Pickup Trucks should only be used in labor-type work such as moving furniture, loading building materials and dead game! Has anyone notice that the bigger those 18-wheeler's are the more wreckless the driver?! >:(

That happens all the time with my friend and his fiancee. This problem is a two way street gender wise.  It seems that spenders know who they can go to to get what they want, it is the ones who are spending who have to put on the breaks and say enough is enough.  If
she(he) takes off then you are better off.  Figure out what she(he) wants, you or the wallet.  You may not
like the answer but you are better off knowing.  I actually have a very good friend who is like that and she has run through many a mans savings,  I can't believe they put up with it, but they did(do). Alot of it is they want to

I've got a good figure, but I'm classy enough to leave plenty on for the imagination. And I know this story may sound mean, but after being out one night with a few other girls, we got on a bus that had a large group of people getting on at the next stop including this one girl wearing a really short top, a naval chain, and a major belly, which was so noticeable that we were exchanging smirks.

I know what you mean. If that skin showing is a roll, then that shirt is not what you should be wearing. I don't know if people do not have mirrors in their house or if they think guys like it or what... I don't care for the style much anyway, but if you dress in those type of clothes at least make sure you fit in them.

All this pointless remixing and bootlegging of old 80s records...
Recently we've seen 3 (yes 3) remixes/bootlegs taking samples from Boy Meets Girl's original "Waiting For A Star To Fall", Cabin Crew's 'Star To Fall' (Number 4), Sunset Strippers' 'Falling Stars' and the more recent Mylo's 'In My Arms' (Number 18). WHY? Why do they feel it necessary to completely p*ss all over good songs by adding stupid sounds and 'funky' beats to them? Yes, Max Graham vs Yes, I am looking at you...  >:(

People who say "talk 'black'" would probably mean "talk 'ghetto'" (and yes that's "ghetto" in parentheses).  Although I've heard black people who want to claim it as their own, I definitely think its a cultural thing not racial.


On a different note, I have a confession to make.....
Well someone at my church got a bunch of clothes from one of her friends who must be rich and doesn't keep clothes longer than a year.  Anyway she gave the clothes SHE didn't want to my sister.  Last night we were going through them and I found a WHOLE bunch of shirts I liked.  Good thing cuz I been growing out (yes I stopped growing up and started growing OUT) of my shirts and I don't have money 2 buy new stuff.  So I'm glad I have a bunch of shirts and other stuff that fit me. Problem is....most of them were Gap or Old Navy or similar...
:-[  Am I bad?  Do yall think accepting hand-me-downs of the despised brand are as just as bad as shopping at the store?
