As I said I'm not too fond of current mainstream of music although the 'alternative' and even underground scene definately does not suck. But in the interest of simplicity, I assume you're listening to 'pop' music - which, I might add, includes such 'respectable' bands as Green Day, Franz Ferdinand, Doves.etc so I suppose SOME mainstream music is good.

I choose, I like the 2000's more than the 70's... I listen to mostly metal and there wasn't a big selection in the 70s, the 90s were best for extreme metal and most bands are still together and putting stuff out today and plus i'm not a kid like I was in the 70s ;D

I chose 2000s over 70s. I personally think the 70s has probably been the worst music decade to this point, as very little decent music came out of that decade. 2000s are not much better but they are better. Like Jiminy I am more of a metal person so that probably plays a decent role in the fact that I find very few decent songs from the 70s. Plus the whole disco thing has never worked for me.

While I like the 70s and the 00s, both decades had their fair share of bloody awful music. (Disco anyone?)
I'd say both have their ups and downs... and both decades the best music was from the underground scene.

The 1970s was a decade of infancy of what cultures and music have today. It created and paved way for the underground scene. The 1970s were cool, minus a few embarassing styles of music, but hey.....like I said.....it was a decade of infancy. 8)

I must say, this is the most respectable "I hate the 2000s" post ever. You spelled well, used grammar and syntax fairly well, actually had something to say... everything most boards about your subject aren't. I salute you.
