Although the movie was kinda lame...I liked Rick Springfield in 1984's "Hard To Hold"

He did do pretty good in that one ("ALWAYS check the barrel")
However I had to pick Will Smith. I've already decided he's about the only one out there who can be SUCCESSFUL in BOTH singing AND acting (although I hope his rapping days are over....I don't know that his old school style will be welcome any more :-\\ )

I agree with you. Will Smith was brilliant in Enemy of the State-not to mention many of his other movies. I haven't seen Ali yet which earned him an Oscar nom.
Cher is also an excellent actor. She earned an Oscar nom for Silkwood. I saw an interview with her when that movie first came out. When she went to see it at the movies, she said that when her name came up on the screen at the beginning of the movie, everyone started laughing. She said they weren't laughing at the end. She was great in Mask and did earn her Oscar in Moonstruck.

Oh man, that movie was soooooo good. I need to watch it again.
If I were able to vote, it would be Will Smith, although I'm disappointed Tupac isn't on there because he was excellent in his movies.

Will Smith .. He did an excellent job in ENEMY OF THE STATE! (I havent seen him in any other of his movies)

As someone who knew of David Bowie starting with his music in the early 70s, I was intrigued to read a number of articles after his passing by people from the 80s generation whose first introduction to him was via the film "Labyrinth".
