Subject: Sting's Boss Wins Kentucky Derby With Longshot Giacamo
Written By: Indy Gent on 05/07/05 at 9:38 pm
In an incredible finish, Giacamo, a 50-1 longshot owned by Jerry Moss (who's also co-founder of A & M Records) and named after Sting's 9-year-old-son, wins the Kentucky Derby on a last miniute dash. It was the second biggest payoff in KD history, with 72-1 horse Closing Argument 2nd, and the favorite Bellamy Road (George Steinbrenner's horse) winding up 7th. Congratulations, Jerry and Sting.
