Subject: 2000-2005 compared to other years

I know there have been similar posts like this, so I thought I give my thoughts on what the following years have been compared to.
I am not comparing fashion and music here.
2000 - Similar to 1999, and maybe a little of 1997
2001 - feel a little of 1991, and 1993
2002 - A 1997 feel, and a tad of 1986
2003 - really had a 1995 feel to it.
2004 - Everybody seems to say that this year was very different, the odd ball year, I agree. (now I'd say maybe 2004 was like 1980?)
This was the first year where there I noticed some rebelliation against the 90's. I heard some people say that "It's not the 90's anymore."
Does 2004 compare to any years in the 70's for those that grew up in that time? (I was born in 1978)
2005 - Like I mentioned in the other post, I can't place my finger on it.
Two possible years:
1.) 1988
2.) 1982
Any other inputs in what 2005 is like are welcome!

Sorry, I should have made myself a little clearer on this. Some of you were not around in the 80's. What I really ment to ask was:
Does this year for anyone bring back any memories from a real long time ago, (i.e. traveling to any place, or doing something special you havn't done in 10-20 years)? For me nothing yet.
