Best of all, it's the theme for the first Exorcist.

I was given Tubular Bells as a Christmas present when it was first released back in 1973, and always played it.

woah...back up here....
too many newer albums that have not yet proven themselves to be among "The greatest" have made that list....I mean, I love Coldplay, but there is no way that Parachutes belongs up there.
Moby's Play has proven itself to be a complete fluke and completely dated
Robbie WIlliams just outright sucks
Wrong Outkast album
you know what, too many things wrong with this list to name..where the hell is B*tches Brew?

I saw some REALLY, REALLY good Albums on that list.. a few missing, and I didn't like Radiohead's "OK Computer" that much. Radiohead's good, but not that... well, it is the U.K., and I'm here in the U.S.

Another way of looking at it, I am in the UK and Radiohead do not even appeal to me.

Heh!
Nice to see 'Soul Rebels' by DMR sneaking in near the bottom...fine album...
For the critics - come back to this list in ten/fifteen years time and see who's dropped out...!

I think the problem with a lot of these lists is how they were voted for. I think (though correct me if you know) that the lists are based on votes collected via the Channel 4 website. Therefore it is likely that more recent albums are going to dominate the list purely because of the age group likely to respond to this type of 'survey'.
You will notice the same sort of trends in any of their 'Top 100.....' the more recent things are higher up the list because of the distorted age profile of the population voting.

Exactly right karen, I suspect many of those youngsters voting will not have heard (or even heard of) some of the albums that I think should be on there.
