I know it's too early to predict, but I think it will end in 2008.

The '90s, in pop culture technically started to fade away in Dec. 98, so I pick December 2008.

I voted 2011. It's my personal opinion that the beginning of a decade is more like the previous than the one that just began, but is watered down and is becoming more like the mid-late part of the respective decade.
This is, using the 2010s lets say, 2010-11 is more like 2000-2009, 2012-2016 will be the "real decade", and 2017-2021 will be the late or "weak" part of the decade, but still counts. I guess it will weaken in 2008 and die in 2011.
I think by 2007/2008 Nuwave/Post-Indie will hit full-tilt and Numetal will die in its tracks. Britney Spears and Eminem will be lingering but will only be a shadow of 1999-2002 (it's already starting). Movies will turn more CG and Bush will be despised by most instead of many.
