Subject: Star Trek is finally Dead
Written By: Chris MegatronTHX on 02/02/05 at 4:44 pm
The latest Star Trek TV series "Enterprise" has been cancelled by UPN, this is the first time a Star Trek TV show has been cancelled since the original series was axed by NBC waaaaay back in 1969. I wish I could post a link, but I don't have a story at hand.
My opinion?
It was about time. You can't have a franchise running non-stop forever anyway, and the quality of Trek has been pretty bad since 1995, and just god awful bad since 1999.

They made the right choice. As much as I liked the original Star Trek and TNG, the series has gone downhill since DSN: and so has the motion pictures. I wish UPN could have cancelled Enterprise much sooner.

The way Star Trek was kept on the air, you almost got the impression it would be on till the REAL 23rd or 24th centuries. It's kinda sad seeing a once proud and mighty sci-fi franchise reduced to this, but it was time for Trek to get off the stage. There's enough Star Trek out there to last a person 3 lifetimes.

i faithfully watch every star trek incarnation with the exception of enterprise. i watch one episode and thought it was sheeshe. they should have kept to the timeline after voyager and not two hundred years before the classic star trek.

The last Trek I liked was Deep Space Nine.
That movie Nemesis sucked, but I had a crush on Shinzon after I saw it for some reason...

I believe that it started in 2003, so that would be about 2 seasons, I think.
