I'm sure i am not alone in thinking what a great show this is.
We just had the season premier on here in the U.K.. all i can say is WATCH IT!
It's got pretty much everything. Sex, Comedy and good acting. I was left very impressed.

What are other people's views?

Uh, I've watched an episode of Desperate HouseWIVES and I thought that any Season 5 episode of Sliders could do better (and that's saying a LOT).

It's Sex and the City in the Suburbs with some Passions thrown in. It screams "Knock Off". 

Never watched sex & the city and have no idea what passions is.. so.. im OK then

Passions is that soap opera on NBC with the witch chick who screws with everyone's relationships. It had that little dude in it for quite a while. It's a really weird show.

If one has no negative issues in reference to drama, sex and play, and if one likes to have some guilty soap-opera type pleasure, then it does make for fun adult entertainment fair. It's edgy but not porn. :D ;) :) Just don't let your teenager watch it. :P ::)

As a teenager I was stuck in the 1980s. I loved 80s stuff. I wasn't into the TV shows everybody else was into.
Now that I'm entering my 20s, I'm getting into 1990s television and back into the 1990s music. My biggest thing right now is Sliders.
I love it, but it's 10-years-old.
I don't understand myself. Always out of touch with the current world.

It's not my cup of tea.  :P

I never was able to get into this show...."Huff" Starring Hank Azaria and Paget Brewster is on at the same time, and I really like it :)

I've tried this show a couple of times, and y'know I just don't understand the hubbub.  I
feel the same way about this as I did about "Friends", basically  "oh, please  ::) "

Desperate Housewives premiered in Australia tonight.  I watched it and I'm hooked already.  I can't wait to see next weeks show.

(not sure about the voice-over from the dead trick tho- a bit try-hard smug for me - but love all the women (except marcia cross) )    :-\\

We are i think 8 episodes in here, and i have watched every one of them. It is essential viewing.

It's tounge in cheek but just serious enough that you can actually feel sorry for them sometimes.

I've watched it the last few episodes, it is great. I'm going to watch it every week now.
