I think she sounded terrible, and deserved to get booed. It reminded me of the time when Rob and Fab from Milli Vanilli went on the Arsenio Hall show and sang for the first time in their real voices.
    I hate to repeat myself, since I already used this in another post, but I love this line so much I just have to use it again: She sounded just like a sh*t salesman with a sample in his mouth.

(And it wasn't just "some football game" either, it was the college national championship game!)

I heard a soundbyte of her "singing" on the sports radio show. Was she trying to sing or to become "master of her domain"?

I'll agree with that. I saw her for the first time on UK TV last night, I immediately thought "this looks like it's gonna be c**p, but I'll give it a go just to see what the In The 00s lot are on about". Hmmm, suffice to say, I was not impressed. I'm not a big fan of the current wave of insipid girlie-pop anyway, but this Ashlee plumbs new depths of poorness. Not only can't she sing, she seems to make herself look a lot less attractive than she could be by her choice of clothes. She must be attractive in some way, otherwise how could she be a pop star? Or was she one of those Pop Idol types? Anyone know the reason for her fame?

She might evolve. Alanis Morisette started out as a teen pop singer in Canada (Between "You Can't Do That On Television" & alternative singer).


And I have friends that dresses up in that fashion, long before Avril, Good Charlotte, ets. became "mainstream".
