Not for nuthin', but do people REALLy not know that the SR71 (Blackbird) was a Mach 3 CIA spy plane?
The band name therfore is not meaningless and/or stupid (IMHO) ---

Mach 6, I think it was. Had to fly highr and faster after the USSR shot down the U2 8)
Of course, just because it's based on something REAL doesn't stop it from being DUMB - that depends on their professed reason for calling themselves that...

no, it was mach 3 (unless the US never released the true specs of the craft).

Yeah, Mach 3. I read about it as a 10-year-old and my impressionable mind must have inflated the figure :D
