Subject: Mister Clean Auto-dryCar Wash System

Written By: LyricBoy on 03/21/04 at 02:50 p.m.

I've been seeing this ad on TV for the past few weeks about the "Mister Clean Auto-Dry Car Wash System".  They seem to make a big deal that you no longer have to dry your car after washing it, if you use Mr. Clean's new product.

Today just for yucks, I checked out the unit at the store, and they want $24 for it.  Soap refills are $5.99 and filter refills are $6.99.  :o

Now here is my issue.  I never felt that having to dry off my car was a problem to start with.  What's the big deal with a "no dry" car wash system?   ???

Heck for $24 + $5.99 + $6.99 I will dry my car with a Q-Tip.   :P

Since the only way my car gets washed is by the rain :D I wouldn't spend the money on it, however my hubby has a truck...his "baby" ::), it's black and it does show water spots if it isn't dried off.  I'm not bothered by the spots, but he is, so I'd say he would probably buy it...only to find out that it probably doesn't work as well as they say it does.

I'm sure it works fine.  I mean, Mister Clean wouldn't sell a faulty product.  He's da man.  ;)

I wouldn't spend the money for something like that.  I was interested in it when I first saw the ad's on TV but once it gets here the price would probably double.  No Thanks!!!  I am not bothered with spots anyway...I figure it rains here so often that if I spend the time on buffing my car to a spotless shine it'll just rain and the spots will appear again.

Now if they invent something to prevent the dirt from clinging to the car...I think I would consider that product.   ;)
