Subject: Thanks for embarresing New York!
I hadnt gotten a chance to write this because I was at a CPAC conference from Wenesday till today, but In the state fo the union, did anyone notice what a congressman from New York, and a senator from New York were doing..as well as a Senator from Massachusetts?
Charlie Rangle was SLEEPING during the State of the Union.....Hillary looked like the most less interested person in the world..I think it was obvious she didnt want to be there.....the democrats from New York do it again...cant stop embaressing us for one second, could they?....
I feel really bad though for Massachusetts...aparently Ted Kennedy has a problem in his neck, with which he cant stop shaking it...I dont understand why democratic congressmen show no respect tot he president during the State of the union......Sleeping is nothing new during SOTU speechs...last year, Im pretty sure there few quite a few democrats sleeping as well, but some of these people were being quite disrespectful.....they do know they are being televised......
whats funny though is that Ted Kennedy once called George W Bush his good friend.....
oh, and another thing....anyone notice int he Democratic responce that Nancy Pelosi misquoted JFK? That was priceless....

I think it was obvious they had it in their minds that they weren't going to show any interest before they even got there that night. And what was really annoying is that the TV networks kept zooming in on Ted "Chapaquitic" Kennedy shaking his head. I was wondering if maybe he had a few too many martinis that night and couldn't stop shaking his head. :)

Yes! I didn't know if anyone else noticed that. It was classic.
Btw, did anyone notice during Pelosi's little speech that her teeth had gained nearly 4 shades of white overnight? Sheesh, her chompers were causing a glare on the tv cameras! :D

I have never seen the woman before in my life, but her teeth scared me. And the muscles in her neck? It looked to me like she was straining to talk.
What was the quote she misquoted? I totally missed it.

Actually, Billy, she didn't. The quote she used was a follow-up to the "ask not what your country can do for you" portion of the speech. Below are the last four paragraphs to JFK's inaugural address, with the quote Pelosi used in bold:
In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility--I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it--and the glow from that fire can truly light the world.
And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you--ask what you can do for your country.
My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.
Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.
I think JFK is in the Guinness book of world records for fastest speaking rate while delivering this speech ;D
I do agree, however, that the Democrats showed very little class during the SOTU. At least when Dubya's predecessor was speaking, the Republicans pretended to show support ;D
