Subject: Gore shafts former running mate
It's not exactly news anymore, but what do you all think about Gore giving his former running mate, Lieberman, the shaft?
To me, its nothing more than a pathetic attempt for Gore to try to get back in the papers and on tv. Personally, if I were running for office, I wouldn't want Gore even mentioning my name, considering his record thus far with "endorsing" and campaining "on behalf of" for other people in the past. Where are those people now? Looking for work....just like Gore is.

Well I am an independent, more close to repub than dem I suppose. And while I do not agree with much of what Lieberman is trying to sell, I have to give him credit for being a gentleman and having some class, especially with how he handled his campaign w.r.t. Gore this year.
So I'd have to say that the WAY in which Gore endorsed Dean was really low-class. I can not fault him for choosing someone to endorse other than Lieberman, that's his choice. But he OWED Lieberman the courtesy of telling him first.
Gore reached for the Vaseline® and instead used a handful of sand. >:( Someday he;s gonna get a BIG karma payback.
Joe, I am not a huge fan of yours, but you deserved much, MUCH better. Good luck in the primary. ;)

I couldn't agree more.
Gore lost a lot of "class" points with this. It wreaked of that of a cheap-shot. And that I don't like.

I heard Zell Miller on Hannity talking about how the Gore-Dean partnership thing was political suicide :P

This was my opinion, too. Gore should have told Lieberman first...he can endorse whomever he wants but it is common courtesy to let your former runningmate if it is someone else. I think Lieberman handled it well, though.
