Subject: Kelly Clarkson
Any Kelly Clarkson fans out there?

I think she has an awesome voice, and i think she is really beautiful. I will give her that, but i really have only heard one song of hers. so i can't say i am a "fan" but i think she is alright.

I think her songs stink, her voice stinks, and I don't find her attractive.
Whats so funny about the American Idol deal is this: you take a bunch of no-talent wannabe stars, make them sing, and narrow it down to 1 person. That 1 person gets a guaranteed recording contract and an album whether they are actually good enough or not. Do you honesly think if she, or any of the other American Idol contestants, were to pursue a recording contract on their own they would get one? I seriously doubt it. After all, there are many more people trying to independantly pursue a recording contract every year than those who tried out for American Idol and lost.
Now if she can produce staying-power and prove her legitimacy as a real recording artist, then more power to her. But unless that happens, shes a game show winner, nothing more.
Modified to add: ok my post was modifed by an admin, so what was censored from my post this time?

NO WAY!!!!
Yelling songs at the top your lungs DOES NOT pass as singing in my book. I hate all artists who do that(unless its Rock music, then it's ok). Oh yeah and the people who write her songs & music need to be fired!!! >:(

What's with all the Kelly hate? I think she is one of the few talented pop stars in the music biz today. Like luvmechaparita, I've only heard 2 or 3 songs, so I can't really say I'm a fan, but I do think she has a great voice.

I really don't see the attraction in Kelly other than physical. She's not a bad singer, and she's at least better than Nikki McKibbon or Justin Whatever his name was. Maybe it's her songs. :-/

She's a good singer, she's just made-out to sing the tripe given to her by her record producers and execs, from writers who think they know what the public wants to hear as far as music goes nowadays. Her voice could be put to much better use by a better song writing team without the corporate influence.
On another note -
She was told she was too heavy and forced to lose weight in order to fit in with the "pop-tart" masses.
That is so wrong on so many levels.
Overall, I think she's alright. The one or two songs I've heard on the radio are just ok.
"A Moment Like This" was very nice on the show (the last episode of that season) because it sounded, looked and felt sincere. Once execs over-produced it in a studio and released it as a single, they managed to rip all of the good qualities right out of it, IMO.
Oh and she should never make another movie. Ever. :P

I was gonna say that, basically... I don't like her that much, I mean not enough to call myself a fan, but I do like the music by her that I've heard. Except "A Moment Like This". :-/
