Subject: Finding Nemo
I've just been to the cinema to see this Disney/Pixar cartoon film and it was wonderful.
It has so many clever moments in it that I think it beats Monsters Inc (just about).

My kids have all seen it and loved it. They're already telling me to buy the DVD as soon as it's available. Any parent that has seen it has raved about it. I may take them again just so I can see it :D

My wife and mother-in-law took my 3 daughters to see it this afternoon - they're not back yet. I really wanted to go too but I've been stuck in the house all day preparing & decorating the kitchen...:( :( :(

Gosh that bites more than Bruce the shark, Maddog! Try and catch it on DVD, I don't think you will be dissapointed. I was a bit dubious to start with (a cartoon about fishes?) but it has a very sharp sense of humour.

My daughter went on Saturday with a group of friends for a friends fifth birthday party. I'm glad I went along. At the first sad bit my daughter starts howling. I managed to calm her down and then she gets frightened by the sharks. So I take her out of the cinema. She calms down so we go back in just as there is another slightly scary bit so we leave again. After a long while I convince her to go back in again and after a few more minutes there is another (to her) not nice part so we leave again! Gave up after that and just waited to everyone came out.
It was generally agreed by the rest of the group to be a scary film. That's scary to a bunch of four and five year old though. Pity I missed it, it did look a good film.

"Finding Nemo" and "Monsters Inc." are both very good movies, but in my opinion "Monsters Inc." is the better of the two.
That's just me though. ;D 8)

I agree that the cartoon was a bit more punchier than their normal efforts but I think that made it better. Remember to start with, Disney did not tailor their films for children initially. The evidence is in Pinnochio (when the kid turns into an ass and the big whale scene) and Dumbo (the imprisoning of Dumbo's mother and the hallucinatory drunk scene).
It really is a shame that you didn't get to see the film, Karen.

I've never seen Finding Nemo, although I thought Monsters Inc. was pretty good. :)
