Subject: TV's Big Guy Dead at 71

For fans of "WKRP In Cincinnati", I have some bad news. Gordon Jump, who portrayed the bumbling but lovable Arthur "Big Guy" Carlson on that show died Monday at 71. He also played the Maytag repairman in a series of newer commercials after Jesse White retired/died, and he guest starred as Sheriff Tinkler in TV's "Soap". This talented comic actor will be greatly missed.

I saw that yesterday and was going to post it but got distracted with other things. I'm glad you did. I share my birthday with Gordon Jump and had a friend who went to school with him. My friend told me that him and his wife took a trip to Mexico one time and ran into Gordon and his wife. They both knew that they knew each other from school but was in different years. The four of them had dinner and I got to see the pictures. R.I.P Gordon. We will miss you. :'( :'( :'(

I'm just now seeing this thread. Wow! Another loss of a very talented performer.
