Subject: Anyone Watch The John Ritter Special?
I thought it was very well done..... :'(

I watched, and got sad all over again :'(
I grew up watching Three's Company, and along the way saw him in many other things too. I didn't regularly watch "8 Simple Rules", but I did see 3 or 4 episodes of it last year and it always made me laugh. I'm not too sure what to think of what they're doing with the show. It seems a bit odd that they're going to go ahead and air the episodes already taped for this season. And the whole deal with writing his death into the series...whew! I guess it will be a first, so who knows how it will work out for ABC, but it seems a bit morbid to me, seeing as how the show was a sit-com. Only time will tell, I guess!

:)I saw it.It's best to write the character's death into the series, rather than just to have another actor play him and have "no one" notice. But the special wa really well done.Cheers@!

I watched every minute of it. John Ritter had an amazing life for a 54-year-old (would have been 55 today :'(). I was doing homework and watching the show at the same time. It's really hard to continue a TV show of any kind after its true star dies.
I'm thinking about writing some crossovers of Three's Company and 8 Simple Rules with Halloween. Don't worry, none of John Ritter's characters will be killed by Myers.
RIP John. :'(

I feel like watching a Three's Company repeat!

I watched the special and it made me very sad, especially when they showed his friends and co-stars talking about what a great man he was. :'(

I was watching an old episode of Three's Company last night and to-wards the end I was a bit taken aback. The episode was of John Ritter's character (Jack Tripper) being harassed by a girl's bully boyfriend. Jack's only way of dealing with the problem was to pretend that he was dead, so he stages a funeral. It was a couple of lines that kind of got to me. One line was when Larry or Mr. Furley was telling the bully boyfriend how he was "taken at such a young age" and the other line was said by Cindy that "it was his heart". Kind of gives me goosebumps.
I haven't seen The John Ritter Special yet (we get our programming a week later than everyone else over here) but when it does air I do plan on watching it.

john ritter was one of my faves. im sad to see him go as i was a huge fan. but i think that the special on him was done very well. it showed all of his career accomplishments but also showed his family life and how much he loved his family.
