Subject: Schumer Blames Bush For Blackout
In his Democratic radio speech, New York "Senator" Charles Schumer blamed President George W. Bush for the recent Northeast blackout, the result of an outdated power system caused by Bush's "wasteful" energy programs. This is truly halarious, even by Democratic standards. What about the other 42 Presidents? Or Governors Cuomo or Pataki? Or Mayors Dinkins and Guiliani? Or the entire New Jersey-Ohio maintanence crew. Why was this man even elected senator? Other than with Clinton money. Rebuttals anyone?

lol...yeah, all the looneys are the Senators for my state...Hillary and Schumer...I hate them both greatfully. Theres no doubt about it that Schumer's not looking too good for his re-election, and, as most democrats do, is just trying to give us a bad name. So obvious.

This is a man who cannot be trusted with ANYTHING at all, he handles everything bad that goes on in the WORST possible way, and something more, in 2000, he didn't win the election. Gore lost, and it's saying the same thing except the fact Gore handled that situation terribly. I think it's totally a possibility.

This, I'm not sure who he's referring too or what the heck he's trying to say. ???

jheedous's comment is well put, and Race, I finally realized what I was trying to say and saw that it had nothing to do with this thread.

anyone have a link to an unbiased article about this? i think we might be missing an important part of senator schumer's logic in this thread. Also the fact that clinton didn't fulfill his responsibility to update the power grid doesn't exempt bush from that same responsibility.
Subject: Re: Schumer Blames Bush For Blackout
Nor did it exempt, any other President since Calvin Coolidge. My point is that W. shouldn't receive all the blame for something that was beyond his or any of Cabinet. You could blame his policies if you want to, Tone. But isn't it the responsibility of the company at fault to supply power to the Northeast. And there still is a slight possibility that terrorism may have played a role in or may result from this blackout.? :-/

Have you heard?
Schumer is now blaming Bush for yesterdays earthquake in New Jersey......something about Bush not spending any money to control tectonic plates, and his wasteful earthquake programs.....
Subject: Re: Schumer Blames Bush For Blackout
Now That IS outrageous. Techtonic plates cannot easily be controlled, and as much as I hate Bush, it's true. Schumer is mad.
Subject: Re: Schumer Blames Bush For Blackout
Let's face it, Schumer is looking out for #1 with is accusations instead of serving his people. What next, Schumer blaming Bush for Chad Pennington's injury? (Not enough to heal his hand faster? ;D)
