Subject: "Freddy vs Jason"
I don't know about you guys, but I am stoked about this movie coming out.
I think its long overdue that these 2 guys met up in the same movie!
My only hesitation is that it might be too much of a time gap between the last Freddy and Jason movies, making it a disaster like the Star Wars prequels.(in my opinion of course) That, and also many of the younger people of today might not even know who Freddy and Jason are.
Will you guys be seeing this movie when it comes out? I know I will be.

The 'reunion' was hinted at in the penultimate Jason film (when Freddy's fingers clutched the hockey mask).
I hated the first three or four 'Friday the 13th' films but got into them when I watched 'Jason lives' from 1986. As for 'Nightmare on Elm Street' - The first film was the best!
It will be interesting to say the least. I just hope the directors can give the film a sense of intelligence and not make it a contest between two old murderers to find out who can kill the most sexually active teenagers.

I totally agree.
I've always preferred Freddy over Jason, and the original "Nightmare on Elm Street" scared the pants off me when I was younger and saw it in the theater! :D
But the Jason movies seemed to be too "cookie-cutter" in that it seemed like they were all the same movie.

I liked Jason in that he kept his identity hidden behind something insignificant but 'cookie-cutter' is definitely the term for it. I have trouble distinguishing the first three or four 'Friday the 13th' movies.
Why did Jason use a hockey mask to cover his face? I've seen the films but forgotten. :-/

I fail to see how either could kill the other. What can Freddy throw at Jason that he won't simply get back up from? Is he going to invade Jason's dreams? Does Jason even have dreams? And what exactly is going to Jason going to do to Freddy? To kill Freddy, you have to be able to figure out his origins and find his secret weakness or something. Jason DEFINITELY isn't going to be doing anything like that.

According to what I've read about the plot, Freddy originally tries to join forces somewhat with Jason, but when Jason realises he has been used, he then tries to kill Freddy.
Sounds really interesting, but like you, I can't think of any ways either one could kill the other. After all, they are both already dead.

After seeing the stale as month-old bread Jason X, I have extremely low expectations for this one last attempt at milking the franchises.
