Subject: "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon"
Have anybody watched the revamped "Ren & Stimpy" cartoons, titled "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon"?
I saw last week's premiere and it was OK.
(A couple of laughs)
The only difference was that the show is now more perverted and grosser than the original and, obivous, different writers.
Yesterday's episode was very creepy and not funny. Towards 15 minutes, I switched the channel to "E.R.".
(It featured Ren's disturbing childhood.)
I hope better episodes will be shown in the future.

Even the so-called "children's version" was bad enough... I don't want to know what happened in the "adult version"... ::)

Ren and Stimpy was awesome! It used to be my favorite cartoon...but that was the child's version...I wanna see the adult version...
Subject: Re: "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon"
I agree the children's version was very gross for a show on Nickelodeon. I assume the "adult version" also has gratuitous sex and language, like "South Park". It will be interesting if TNN's "Men's Network" becomes the basic version of "The Playboy Channel".

nothing to shake a leg about. I saw it last night and I saw Ren's butt and Ren licking a dirty lollipop. That's about it. :P

What are they planning on renaming TNN again? I mean, I know they already changed it from "The Nashville Network" to "The National Network" but I read in the paper that they want to change their name again.
I can't believe all that station used to show was country concerts and cooking shows with Graham Kerr. ::)

that's the reason why i'm still surprised that "stripperella" and "ren & stimpy" are on that channel...the memories of the grand ole opry (i think?) being on TNN are etched into my memory... ::)

"Stipperella" wasn't that bad.
Actually, The New TNN was suppose to be "Spike TV", but Spike Lee sued the network and the name was dropped.
Still waiting for Justin Timberdork to sue P. Diddy's "Justin" restaurant. ::)
Or Hershey (or whoever owns Reeses Pieces) to sue Reese Witherspoon. :P (That was a bad joke, wasn't it?)

Or the estate of Spike Jones?
Or Spike Jonze, even?
Volleyball players, too. 8)
How about manufacturers of golf shoes with the spikes on them? :D

I saw some of the show, and then there was a scene where Ren was dressed up as a baseball player and....I'm sure those of you who watched it know what I'm talking about. That was disturbing, especially considering it was a cartoon.

After watching "Fire Dogs II", I decided to stop watching. :P
It's the worst "revamped" series I've seen since the new Ninja Turtles.
Subject: Re: "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon"
I am not easily offended.
The series was great when it first came out.
But it just got grosser and grosser.
And it even inspired an updated gross out version of Baby Huey a few years ago!
Seeing one of these new Baby Huey cartoons and a gag that was a Ren And Stimpy knock off, it was a sight gag where you saw the back of Baby Huey's diaper filled to the busting brim with feces.
You obviously didn't see the stuff, just a giant, nasty lump.
Aaa, that's not funny. Just revolting.
So I stopped watching the newer Ren and Stimpy's. Too disgusting.
And I like Howard Stern. Sometimes his stuff is too gross for me too.
