Subject: Who Got Their New Harry Potter Book?
Most bookstores had major parties and activities happening, celebrating the release of this new installment in the series. I was very fortunate to have attended one of those for the first time ever and it was excellent! :D
When midnight rolled around, the books were flying off the shelves by the thousands, literally. I'm very proud to have a copy of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" to add to my collection. I'm entertained with this series to no end. :)

I can't be the only person who hasn't read any of these books. For some reason they just don't appeal to me, maybe i'll have to get hold of a copy and see what i'm missing.

Mine's on order from Amazon so any day soon I guess.I bet their packers are working overtime to get them all out.

I don't know about over there, but over here, they said that anoyone who ordered their book over Amazon will get it delivered to their doorstep or mailbox today (Saturday). They also said it was just another day for the FedEx workers. :)
I didn't go to any of the parties, and I don't have the book yet. I'll probably check out the book once it gets to the library, and once I get on the waiting list.

We belong to "Quality Paperback Book Club." We will order ours when it when they have it. (That is where we got all the others). So, we will just wait a bit. No hurry for us. Besides, I want to read all the others again before reading this one.

My sister likes Harry Potter and she's got the new book. Apparently, it's longer than the Goblet of Fire. I've only read the first 9 chapters of the first book.

I USED to be a big Harry Potter fan, but once I saw " Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets" on DVD, I thought it was so boring! I wanted to do something else, but I couldn't, because it was at my friend's house and he wanted to watch it and It was really late.

I saw on the news that a bookstore was "broken into" the night before last and the only things stolen were 4 copies of the new HP book. The money and everything else was left intact. Wow! Those are some fans for ya'. ;D
I also saw on the news how J.K.R. is officially richer that the Queen of England! :o
Maybe I should start writing cool fantasy books that appeal to parents and children alike. By the way, that simple characteristic (books that appeal to parents and children alike) is what makes this series so popular and sought-after.

Last year, my niece threw my sister a Harry Potter birthday party. Since it was in Oklahoma, I didn't go. :'( I saw the pictures and it was so funny seeing everyone wearing "Harry Potter" glasses-INCLUDING my 95 year old grandmother! That is just classic-Grandma in those glasses. ;D

I have the first 4 HP books and I haven't read a single one.
Don't know if it's just me but wenever I try to read a book I just get board of it halfway through and quit.

I've got it, but I haven't been allowed to read it as yet. Edit: Please nobody say what happens in it, I've got plans to read it soon enough! I've been knee deep in the other book I've recently been reading. But I've been told it's very good.

Finished it today, and I am so sad!
Not to give the plot away but I was there and recieved my book in Books a Million at 12:25 (long line for even those with vouchers (prepaid the book) but they had a costume party and a baby harry won ours LOL

Harris-Teeter was selling the books, and while my dad's store sold out, he got someone to reserve and send over a copy for him at another store that didn't sell so well. So, the copy is in our hands now. I'm actually off to sneak in a few chapters before my brother gets a hold of the book.
