Subject: So, you still like Mariah Carey?
If you didn't already dislike the singer, this should push you over the line...

If this is true, then she sucks worse than I thought. Which isn't saying much.
Eh, you can't believe everything you read....esp. if it's coming via Fox News ;)
Plus, she's a total nutcase - I don't expect much out of her to begin with. She has proven in the past to be a <female dog> to her fans anyway :-/
Subject: Re: So, you still like Mariah Carey?
Well, I never really cared for her in the first place so this doesn't make a difference to me. It was cruel, though.
I have a question, though...if they don't want the girl to know about the email, why did they go to the news? I'm sure one of her friends or their parents are going to see it and say something. ::)

I was never into Mariah Carey at all, but I began a total dislike campaign when she decided to cover Def Leppard's "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" recently. Oh, yeah, like that song needed HER voice added to it. As far as I can see, this Grandmother would do VERY well to encourgae Michelle to listen to other artists.

Well not defending MC, but we have no proof that she authorized that letter. As the article, stated it was probably some prankster.
Subject: Re: So, you still like Mariah Carey?
I am not in the industry, nor in PR but I can say that I doubt MC had anything to do with the letter. It was probably a stressed employee who's tail is canned big time now. Honestly, this would be a PR nightmare to anyone who's career is on shaky ground.
and BTW I agree THundervamp. That womans voice was never meant to be anywhere near a Def Leppard song. >:(
Subject: Re: So, you still like Mariah Carey?
I have never been a fan of hers but I don't think even she would do something like this. It was probably a prankster. And if she really did call the girl to apologize she did the right thing. I still can't stand her.

Did the article say something different when you posted it? 'Cause right now it doesn't really have anything bad to say about Mariah Carey at all.
Subject: Re: So, you still like Mariah Carey?
I've never been a fan of hers, but I'm inclined to believe she is innocent of this one. Sounds like the grandmother emailed someone at a fan site.

I guess that's the problem with posting a link. The originator can change it at any time.
Subject: Re: So, you still like Mariah Carey?
If I remember the original article correctly...
The parents were the ones to leave a message for Mariah on a website.
Now they are being told that the website the mean e-mail came from was a "hoax" or "prank" site.
Hmmm.
It seems to me the parents should have done a bit more research themselves...if they are not net-savvy enough to tell an official site from a fake one.
But what concerns me most is the fact that the parents seem to be comfortable with the fact that the child has an imaginary friend...at her age. 10 is a wee bit too old to have imaginary friends in my opinion....

I read the article yesterday and was at first shocked, then quickly figured it was a prank. She can't be THAT much of an idiot, right? ::)

After the disaster that was "Glitter" I think her "sanity" took a much harsher punch in the gut than one would expect ;) But yeah, no one could be that stupid.
Unless you're Eminem and you didn't want to play with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog! >:(

I never liked Mariah, and now I don't like her at all.
And what kind of a girl would have an imaganary friend at 10. ???
