Subject: The Chumps Are Gone
There really is a God. The three time defending NBA champions, the Lakers, are eliminated in 6 by the San Antonio Spurs. And who woulda thunk it? Game 6 was a cakewalk, 110-82 at the Staples Center. Almost makes you feel sorry for them. (I said 'Almost'! ;))

Did I mention that the Pistons are advancing to the Conference Finals? :)
Subject: Re: The Chumps Are Gone
Aw, yes. The locals keep reminding me Rick Carlisle, a former Pacers assistant, is the Pistons coach and Byron Scott, a former Pacers player is the Nets coach. Both are in the Eastern Conference finals. And then there's Isiah "Never won a playoff series as Pacers coach" Thomas. >:(
But back to the Lakers. Has it occurred to everyone that most of the national media hasn't rubbed it into Coach Jackson and his bratty kids yet? That just goes to show how one-sided the NBA and the West based media is.

The NBA playoffs are down to the conference championships and the NBA finals, and The Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated by Detroit last night.

The Lakers. ::)
Proof that money, and lots of it, rules the game. Too bad all that money couldn't buy a win. :D
And don't get me started on Laker "fans". Wasn't it amazing that after their run of titles, everybody and their brother west of the Mississippi was suddenly a Laker "fan"?
