No, they aren't related. Among many other things, he was the scrawny actor on Evening Shade.

He was an excellent character actor. If you have seen the Green Mile you will know what I mean. God rest his soul, what a horrible disease. :'(

I first saw Jeter has Burt Reynolds' buddy on "Evening Shade". He had perfect timing in his humor and really related to his character. He will be missed but many. :'(
