Subject: Have the youth of our day given up
Everywhere i go, everything i listin too, and everything i see is crap nowadays. But what really peeves me off is that teenagers and young adults are doing abosultly nothing to curve the outcome of anything. Pop Music is taking its biggest dive because of either techno or sluttly promo singers(but weve had both in the past) I am totally sick to see that the youth has given up its crown as king.
Subject: Re: Have the youth of our day given up
Not all youth has given up. My state, for one, still has young people who speak for themselves. Sure we have our share of bad seeds here, but at least the parenting here is not as irresponsible as the media poisoned teens of the MTV mindset. I like to think there is still hope for the youth of our nation yet.

I don't think the youth have given up...it is just like when we were younger, most of us only thought about ourselves and our little corner of the world. If we didn't know the person or it wasn't near us it didn't matter to us. Don't give up on the youth, they will come around. ;)

If they like the music on MTV, well then let 'em like the music on MTV.
Subject: Re: Have the youth of our day given up
I'm sure the previous generations said the same about us.
Subject: Re: Have the youth of our day given up
I know the previous generation said the same thing about mine, lol. I think part of being young is irritating the crap out of the older generations. Hey, 30somethings, welcome to being part of the older generation. ;)

Im only 16 but it seems like kids my age could change stuff and have a voice, just more and more are choosing not to.

I'm 24 now, but I still consider myself youthful. I'll be darned if I give up on anyone or anything though. What are we giving up on anyway? Bad music? I'll give up bad music anyday :P

Don't wory about it, every generation had kids like you and kids like the ones who choose not to. It is normal. Just stick to what you believe in and don't worry about the others. :)

I am 20 years old and have certainly not "given up"! I agree that a lot of the music etc., today is rubbish, but it doesn't affect me! I prefer listening to stuff from the 60s / 70s / 80s anyway!
