Subject: Jon Bonet Ramsey- Dec 26 1996

Written By: Race_Bannon on 12/27/02 at 00:28 a.m.

The anniversary of her death.  Still so creapy it gives me chills.  What's some takes out there?  Did the family do it?  Was it someone from the outside?   Did Boudler police screw this up to much to tell?

I find her life much creepier than her death.

Good point, Kenny.
I had been compelely unaware of child beauty pageants until then, and I found them disturbing as well.
Kids are cute, yes, some cuter than others but there is no reason to place a "sexuality" to a 6 year old.  Let them be cute for tousled hair and missing teeth.  Let them show freckled color from spending their time playing outdoors, not a tanning booth.  Let them be cute by showing there skinned legs with the colored band aid, not highheels and pantyhose.
The only makeup applies should be at Halloween!

I found her life to be sad.  I think mothers that make their kids do this kind of stuff should be smacked.  They are growing up much too fast.  I have a 4 almost 5 year old and if anyone suggested I put her in a beauty contest I most certainly would give them a piece of my mind.

You have to remember that JonBenét's mother was a former Miss West Virginia, I believe a Miss West Virginia in the Miss America pageant…

And there was another Miss West Virginia, an actress named Lisa Aliff, who is best known for trying to flirt with a happily married Dan Aykroyd at a party in the set of "Dragnet". He is still married to Donna Dixon, and I believe Miss Aliff is in trouble with the law in WV. What is it with these West Virginia beauty queens? :-/

I think the mother had something to do with it and the father is covering for her. Or maybe they both did it. If you have a lot of money in this country you can get away with murder... >:(

That link provides a very strong case that the Ramseys did not kill JonBenet.

I do not like talking about children being murdered....for obvious reasons...but I will say that it's sad they will probably never figure this one out :'(

Thanks for the link, it was good to be refreshed on the story and it cleared up a few points.
Boulder city officials blew this one big time, hell, criminal charges should be placed upon them for screwing it up so bad.  I can understand a few mistakes but all the leaks, what a bunch of buffoons.  Even the Gov. was a big mouthed idiot.  I would hope the parents had nothing to do with the murder directly that just makes it sadder and more ugly.  However did they have something to do with it inderectly?  Making your little a girl a public trophy with the air of greater maturity than a 5 year old has, maybe that contrbuted to it too.

It's not unusual for mothers to murder their children, but (unless you're Rosemary West) virtually unheard of for them to sexually assault them first.

I wonder if they looked at friends of the brother to match the hiking boot, palm print, pubic hair.  A young group of boys, with her brother as the familiar one, could have lured her into the cellar.  Also, a friend of the brother's could have brought the bondage supplies which were not matched to any cord on the premises, as well as the u/i pubic hair, palm print, and hiking boot print.

The brother would know about the father's bonus amount, and the mom and dad wouldn't suspect him and would protect him.  Hell, they might even figure what's done is done and protect him anyway.

Sounds like they only interviewed the younger son to find out if he was sexually abused by the parents.  Said he was never seriously considered a suspect.

That could also explain why the body was left there.  Any adult could easily have carried the body away for hiding or disposal to move the suspicion away from the family.  Young, scared boys, however, would probably think up some silly ransom thing and get the hell outta dodge.  No vehicle or other means to get rid of the body.

But, hey, second-guesses don't take into account the "intuition" of the detectives, who do this for a living.  They obviously felt something wrong in the interviews and the accounts by family members.  And, if they are right, then messing up a crime scene is moot, as the family dna and other trace evidence would already be all over the house, so it would be no good as evidence.

Interesting theory ayrab and probably just as likely as any other out there.  My guess is the police have the family under suspician the same reason I would suspect them.  There is no M/O that this fits other than some patched together last minute plan.  To many bizarre twists with the familiarity the the perp had with the Ramseys and the lack of any other suspect the police can round up.
Interesting to see if it ever clears up.
