Subject: American Idol winner a fraud...
I just heard on the radio that that girl that won that horrid show American Idol this summer may be losing her title. Apparently she had already signed a recording contract with an independant comapny prior to appearing on the show, therefore breaching the show's contract.
I hated this show, I watched the first 3 episodes then I realized it wasn't worth my time. I just thought I would see what you guys think about this.

I hope she got a good education, because if her contract defaults or her year runs out, she's gonna have to get a REAL job like the rest of us non-Idols ::)

I never watched it - but when I finally saw her sing on a news clip - I didn't think she was that great.

She sucked........ ::)

She's bubble gum...they chewed her up, she was good for a while, now there's a reason to spit her out...

Isn't she the one that sings 'a moment like this?'

Alas, yes.

This show was a guilty pleasure for me. I admit to watching it now and then...I don't see what you guys are talking about. I mean, she's better than MJ-wannabe Afro Dude.
But, Tamyra or whatever her name was should've won.

Yes! The one show I actually did watch, Tamyra was awesome!

The title of this thread is misleading. Weather she broke this rule or not, she still won fair. Another thing, a year ago she was just a normal person from Texas. Now she is famous, and you all hate her. She won because a lot of people thought she was the best, not because of her looks like some other pop stars.

True, true. I just think Tamyra was better ;)

She's not a fraud simply because she actually can sing. As far as the rules, there's always some technicality. Too late to go reversing things now. She got her 15 minutes as did the others and that's more than they could have ever hoped for.
The one thought I had during that last episode was, "As longs as that Justin fro-dini didn't win". He was intolerable! He darn near destroyed the nolstalgic value of a good afro. I also can't even bear to listen to that song by Al Green "Let's Get Together", thanks to him. >:(
As far as Kelly...
I like that one song "A Moment Like This", but only the live version without all the studio effects. There was a genuine sentiment expressed which the studio ate away.
I don't particularly care what becomes of these people. This "American Idol" thing is just another one of those fads that will come and go, as will the perfomers whether they're winners or losers.

Then there was that dang dance he did. My sister called it the "Look here's my crotch" dance. ;) He drove me crazy.
