Think back, what TV shows can you relate to?

I accidentally posted this on the wrong board last night, so I'll try it on this one.

(After posting my response on the other thread, I thought of one!)

My newest 'gang' of friends is definitely like The Real World. I'm the shy guy who is uptight in many situations but breaks out of his shell and is outgoing when he is comfortable. A male friend is the tool -- and a female friend is the one having a love/hate relationship with him. Another girl is the cryptic one who nobody understands. Then, there is the normal one (er, for the most part, sometimes can be like me). Then there is the girl who is ALWAYS on a sugar-high and is crazy. Finally, there is the flirt who is dating a different girl each week.

Dysfunctional family/work shows like "The Drew Carey Show" and "Everybody Loves Raymond" are most like my real life. Always loud and obnoxious, but occasionally funny. 8)

What was the name of the one where Brett Butler played a single, blue-collar mom? She worked in an oil-refinery, a field that is percieved to be all-male.

That's most like my real life, single mom, ect.

Or Roseanne, and Home Improvement.  Ordinary, working-class people trying to get by.

Although, having occasionally experienced the need to visit a hospital emergency room when it's "hanging-from-the-rafters" busy, I can relate to "ER" fairly well, too.

When I broke two toes, and dislocated another two years ago, I was treated from a chair in the hallway.  It was so busy they even got the x-rays of my foot mixed up with someone else's.  ::)  I caught the mistake first, when they told me I had broken both my ankles.  ???  I burst out laughing and said that was a miraculous diagnosis, considering they had only x-rayed one foot!!!

A lot of you say Friends is your favorite show to relate to, and I sorta agree to an extent.  I only relate to it as far as Joey and Phoebe go, because they are goofballs and so carefree.  I don't like the other four as much as when the show first came out, but Joey and Phoebe are still the same fun-loving goofballs :)

For a more recent show, I really like Andy Richter Controls the Universe...if you ever get inside my head, it sorta works the same way ;)

Those are some more examples of blue-collar-type shows that I could relate to. My dad wanted some tools for presents, but he hardly even used them. Then when his back was bad, he wanted cooking products. He hasn't used them much either.
