I myself am not a fan of rap, but I have to give Run DMC a hand for being the pioneers of such a movement. They made some great music together, its really sad to see that he is dead, especially under such circumstances.

I also wouldn't call myself a "fan" of rap, but I always thought Run DMC was one of the better Rap groups, and am upset by his death. :'(

A moment of silence for one of the greatest pioneer DJ's ever to spin wax.
Jay's like King Midas, as I was told,
everything that he touched, turned to gold.
He's the greatest of the great, get it straight he's great.
Playing fame cause his name is known in every state.
His name is Jay to see him play will make you say:
"Go* darn, that DJ made my day!"

I feel sad when anyone dies so violently. And Jay Mizell will be missed by many. :'(

Run DMC were part of my childhood, just like Knight Rider and A-Team. Those guys are synonumous with the 80's. And they were a clean rap group that never advocated violence or used bad language in their songs. This is just terrible, terrible news.
Jam Master Jay was not like other rappers. He was a good guy and did not deserve something like this to happen to him.
