Looks like minesota ran out of names for drainage ponds, so they decided to name them after the simpsons.

I will have to tell my youngest nephew about his..he has got to be the BIGGEST Simpson's fan..at only 12...his favorite saying is "DOH"!!!

They say all publicity is good publicity.
Shame though - I can think of much more appropriate shows that could be named after drainage ponds (or perhaps seware treatment plants)...
Some 'entertainers' too !

I see that the possible next step may be naming ponds after South Park characters. I suppose the one they'll name "Kenny" will always get drained? Oh, my god, they drained Kenny!
