Anti-semitic sentiments of the Germans aside, the Nazis were supported by the minority of the German population. The Weimar Republic was a total failure, but most Germans weren't stupid enought vote for Hitler. The National Socialist vote at the time of Hitler was, like, 30% - hardly what I would call a "majority of Germans" ;)
